The Nigerian Medical Association’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter now has Dr. George Ebong as its chairman.

In an election held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, Ebong emerged victorious.
He takes over as Chairman of the NMA FCT from Dr. Ayogu Emeka.
Ebong served as the Chairman of the Association of Resident Doctors, ARD, FCT Chapter prior to becoming the Chairman of the NMA FCT.
In his acceptance speech, Ebong pledged to put members’ well-being first and thanked the FCT doctors for restoring their faith in him.
